Picturesque Budapest public transport lines

There are many of Budapest's extensive public transport lines that can be used as a sightseeing tour. We have compiled a list of our favorites.

Tram Line 2: On the banks of the Danube from the Ludwig Museum to the Margaret Bridge

The most popular line among tourists. The most beautiful part of the line runs along the banks of the Danube, with a magnificent view of the Buda Castle.

Tram Line 47-49: the attractions of the Small Boulevard

The most beautiful part of the line is the section between Gellért Square and Deák Square. Crossing the Liberty Bridge, the line runs between the buildings of the Small Boulevard.

The most beautiful part of the line runs on the Buda side of the Danube between the Liberty Bridge and the Margaret Bridge

Millennium Underground: the sights of Andrássy út and Városliget

The Millennium underground runs under Andrássy Avenue, a great way to explore the area.

Buda Castle Funicular: the most beautiful view of Pest

The Funicular climbing up to the Buda Castle offers one of the most beautiful views of the Chain Bridge and the Pest side. (Extra tickets must be purchased for the line.)
