Rumbach Street Synagogue
Rumbach Street Synagogue: A Moorish-style synagogue built in 1872
The Rumbach Street Synagogue (Little Synagogue) is located on Rumbach Sebestyén Street, 300 meters from the Dohány Street Synagogue.
The synagogue was built between 1869 and 1872. Designed by Viennese architect Otto Wagner. The two minaret-type towers will enclose a symmetrical facade. During World War II, the building was damaged. It has not been used for religious purposes since 1959.
The entire facade and interiors were renovated in 2020.
